To All Bethel Voters

My name is Kevin Cleary.  I was born in Bethel in 1951, to John & Cecilia (Taylor) Cleary.  I am the eldest of five boys, Timothy, Paul, Patrick and Michael.  My wife Brenda (Culhane) and I have one daughter Shannon, married to Kevin Burns, and they have two children Jack and Kate.

I am the Republican candidate for 1st Selectman.  I am asking for your vote, in order to move Bethel forward during these tough economic times.   As a past Chairman of the Board of Finance and a Town Selectman, I understand your concerns of getting a quality product for your hard earned tax dollars.

I will give you my full effort to work and secure:

  1. Quality schools that focus on student achievement, while working to secure the highest levels of Educational Cost Sharing from the State.
  2. Working with the Army Corp. of Engineers to evaluate and correct the issues of flooding throughout the town.
  3. Support Senior & Veterans Tax Relief with a one-to-one administrator to assist with all paperwork filings.   Increase Senior Center space to meet their ever growing needs.
  4. To continue and promote “Buy Bethel First”.  I will work to bring retail businesses to Downtown Bethel and the Stony Hill Districts.  Bethel could be that destination point for all the surrounding towns in meeting their daily consumer needs.
  5. Ensure that all Town Offices and Departments are user friendly.   My job is to work for you the residents of Bethel.
  6. Bring industrial development to Bethel, by working with developer, landowner, business and banker, to meet our Plan of Development.  This will mean more jobs for Bethel residents and ultimately lower tax burdens on you the homeowner.

On November 8th.  Vote Row B, for Paul Szatkowski and myself, and the whole Republican ticket  and we will make a difference.
